FAQ
What is The Terra Class?
The Terra Class is an online movement and education space rooted in grounding, functional movement, fascia-inspired practices, and somatic inquiry led by a pelvic health physical therapist. Classes are designed to support connection to your body through mobility, strength, breath, rhythm, inquiry and intentional movement- alongside educational resources that support learning and understanding.
This is a space to move, explore, and reconnect- without pressure to perform.
Who is The Terra Class for?
The Terra Class is for anyone seeking supportive, thoughtful movement across all seasons of life.
This includes individuals who are:
- Prenatal and postpartum
- Navigating pelvic health considerations
- Wanting gentle, functional, and grounding movement
- Craving a slower, more embodied approach to redefining exercise, intertwining nervous system practices and learning about their body
Do I need prior experience with movement or fitness?
No! Classes are designed to be accessible, with options and variations offered throughout.
You are always encouraged to move within your own capacity, rest when needed, and skip anything that doesn’t feel supportive for your body!
Is The Terra Class physical therapy or medical care?
No, The Terra Class provides general movement education and wellness-based classes only. While classes are informed by pelvic health and anatomy, they do not replace physical therapy, medical care, diagnosis, or individualized treatment.
Participation does not establish a patient-provider relationship.
If you have specific medical conditions, injuries, or concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before participating!
What kinds of classes are offered?
Offerings may include:
Mobility and stretching
Fascia-inspired movement flows
Functional strength and stability
Breath-informed movement
Somatic and meditative inquiry
Educational workshops and presentations
Some classes are live, some are pre-recorded, and new content is added regularly!
Can I participate if I’m pregnant or postpartum?
Yes! Explore The Collection tab to browse the prenatal section as well as the Postpartum Series. While these sessions are intended to focus on these specific populations, you are more than welcome to take The Terra Class session offerings as well and listen to your body.
That said, every body and pregnancy is different! You are responsible for listening to your body, modifying as needed, and seeking medical clearance when appropriate!
Can my baby be present during class?
Babies are welcome! Without pressure or apology, care for your baby at any point in time. This space is meant to support real life, not require separation from it. Some offerings may gently include movement with your baby and will be clearly explained, while classes are designed primarily for adult participation with flexibility built in. This space honors real life and changing seasons, and you are always responsible for your own and your baby’s safety while participating!
Is this safe for me if I recently gave birth?
Many classes are designed with postpartum bodies in mind and take the modifications you need to be safe. Still, every postpartum experience is different.
You’re encouraged to move gently, modify as needed, and follow guidance from your healthcare provider- especially if you’ve had a recent birth, surgery, or complications.
